Data sources & attribution

Permit and inspection records come from the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS), published on the Los Angeles Open Data portal (data.lacity.org). We retain the original source record for every permit and link back to the source dataset.

Santa Monica records come from the City of Santa Monica Open Data portal (data.santamonica.gov), "Active Building & Safety Permits," licensed under the Open Data Commons Attribution License (ODC-BY 1.0). San Diego records come from the City of San Diego Open Data Portal (data.sandiego.gov), "Development Permits," released under the Open Data Commons Public Domain Dedication and License (ODC-PDDL). ConsTrackr is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these cities.
